Vickie S. Robinson

Vickie Robinson joined Microsoft in January 2018 after nearly two decades in the service of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in multiple leadership roles and most recently as Acting CEO and General Counsel of the Universal Service Administrative Co, administrator of the FCC’s federal Universal Service Fund.

As Partner and General Manager for the Airband Initiative at Microsoft, Ms. Robinson draws upon her broad and deep command of universal broadband access to deliver consistent results for the company in our ambitions to help close the global digital divide. A strong proponent of giving back to her community, Ms. Robinson serves as an Executive Sponsor for Howard University and a Board Member of Public Knowledge, a non-profit that works to promote freedom of expression, an open internet, and access to affordable communications tools and creative works. She has also served as an Adjunct Instructor at Howard University School of Law, and was a Co-Founder and Vice Chair for The Initiative: Advancing the Blue and Black Partnership, a not-for-profit organization that focused on using the power of data and partnership to foster understanding and positive engagement between law enforcement and black and brown communities.

Ms. Robinson holds a Juris Doctor from Howard University School of Law, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude, as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Howard University, also graduating Magna Cum Laude. She resides in Mitchellville, Maryland with her husband Paul and their twins, Kendall Marie and Paul Gilscott.
